Sleep Apnoea

Sleep Apnoea

Sleep apnoea is when the airway in your throat is obstructed either partially or completely during sleep. These episodes happen frequently during sleep and can result in:

  • Snoring
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Sleepiness
  • Increase risk of other health conditions

Sleep apnoea is treated via three main methods: CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Press), surgery and oral appliance.

Continuous Positive Airway Press requires sleeping with a mask that delivers air into the airways, this method can be quite effective but for some people it can be hard to tolerate or difficult to sleep with.
